The closest airport is RDU (Raleigh-Durham International), and attendees can catch an Uber to the UNC-Chapel Hill campus. Everything on campus will be within walking distance.
If you have paid and booked for on-campus parking when registering, then we will be contacting you closer to the date to collect license plate numbers, and will send information about where to park.
If you have paid and booked for on-campus accommodation, we will send information out about rooms closer to the date. The dorms will be available on the 2nd and the 5th.
Each dorm resident will receive a pillow, a pillow slip, a twin sheet, a twin fitted sheet, a thermal blanket, a bath towel, and a wash cloth. And you thought you would be roughing it!
The opening social/meet-and-greet will be at the Carolina Inn on Sunday evening, at 5 PM. There will be plenty of food, and a drink coupon for everyone!
The meeting ends at 5PM on the third day (5th June 2024) but there’s a social at Top of the Hill (Topo) for those who’re staying till Thursday (6th June, 2024).
Those who will be staying at Carmichael dorm should ride-share to 101 Stadium Dr., Chapel Hill, NC 27514. Check-in begins at 1 PM on Sunday, June 2.

If anyone requires off-campus parking, we are compiling that information now, and it will be available at check-in at Carmichael.
The opening night social is at the Carolina Inn (see map for walking directions) from 5 PM – 7:30 PM. Most said they’re planning on attending, but even if you indicated no, you’re still welcome — there will be plenty to eat and drink!
And if, due to timing, you want to come to the Carolina Inn first, that’s fine, we’ll watch your bags during the social, and check you into Carmichael after.
There will be pay parking at the Carolina Inn, primarily for locals, and those staying off-campus, who need it.
And no need to find breakfast the following morning. Many breakfast items will be available at the meeting venue — 111 Carroll Hall (again, see map for walking direction) — beginning at 8:30 each morning. The meeting will then begin at 9 AM.
